Foreign candidates who are F-1 or J-1 visa holders and have completed an undergraduate degree program at UMKC’s School of Computing & Engineering will be considered for the prize.
Scholarship Award Benefit
All of the following will be provided by the university:
- The scholarship recipients will get the difference in tuition between Missouri residents and nonresidents, plus $1500 every year.

Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the International Community College Leadership Awards for International Students at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, USA 2022-23:
- A full-time, degree-seeking student in the School of Computing & Engineering is required.
- Applicants must have an F-1 or J-1 visa.
Application Method

- Applicants to UMKC can apply through the university site or the Common Application. First-time candidates admitted into the applied program will be automatically considered.
- Documents Needed: The following documents must be presented to the university by the students:
- Academic achievements
- Statement of purpose

- Entrance Requirements: Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from a community college in the United States.
- Language Prerequisite: Students must submit the following tests with the minimum results needed by the university: English proficiency (minimum 79 iBT TOEFL or 6.0 IELTS score).
