Through its Track to Tasmania Scholarships for the academic year 2023-24, the University of Tasmania is providing African foreign students who will be starting their studies in 2022 with the opportunity to finance their education in Australia.

All foreign undergraduate and graduate students who are nationals of particular nations are eligible for this tuition-fee grant. The registered tuition fees of the program the winners are enrolled in at UTAS will be discounted by 15% for the length of the program.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Track to Tasmania Scholarships at University of Tasmania, Australia 2023-24:

• You must be a citizen of Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe in order to be eligible for the scholarship. You must also be beginning your first semester of full-time, fee-paying study in an appropriate subject at the university.
• The candidates must be beginning their first semester of full-time, fee-paying enrollment in an eligible course at the institution and must have enrolled for an eligible program.

Application Method

The following method remains the only viable way to apply rightfully.

• Upon submitting their international student application, students are automatically evaluated. There isn’t a separate scholarship application needed.
• Documents in Support: The university requires the following paperwork from the students:
  • transcripts of grades
  • Personal statement Academic criteria that are peculiar to a country
• Entrance Standards: Applicants must review and meet the university’s normal admission requirements.
• Students must submit their results from the following English language proficiency exams:
  • IELTS – 6.0
  • TOEFL IBT – 76
  • PTE – 50
  • CAE- Grade C
  • CPE – Grade C
  • Cambridge BCE – Grade C
  • UTAS English for Academic Purposes – 60%
