The one-year, extremely selective Schwarzman Scholars master’s program at Tsinghua University in Beijing aims to equip the next generation of world leaders with the skills they will need to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship developed in response to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century.

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Outstanding Students Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University, China 2023-2024

• must possess a bachelor’s degree. Those who are applying must be on pace to satisfactorily complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. This condition applies to those who are presently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs. There are no prerequisites for any particular undergraduate study area; any area is acceptable.
• aged between 18 and 28.
• able to speak and write English well. If English is not the applicant’s first language, official English proficiency test results must be included with the application. Tests like the Test of English as a Foreign Language are acceptable possibilities (TOEFL PBT). with a score of at least 600. Test of English as a Foreign Language offered online (TOEFL iBT). a 100 minimum score. System for International English Language Testing (IELTS). Minimum rating: 7.
• For applicants who completed at least two years of their academic program at an undergraduate institution where English was the primary medium of instruction, the language requirement is waived.
• Applicants must display the following qualities:
