We are recruiting to fill the position of: Job Title: Lean Leader Reference ID: 831452 Location: Lagos Worker Type: Employee Worker Sub-Type: Regular Time Type: Full time Main Purpose of Job The Lean leader who leads the Lean Initiative within the facility is accountable for driving behavior change which will sustain continuous improvement programs across the Lagos Mill by providing expertise, guidance and support to the operations and mill teams, while ensuring at all times assets are operated at world class standards in the areas of safety, quality and cost. To be an active and integral member of the Senior Operations Leadership Team (SOLT). Providing input on strategic and tactical plans for the Plant Dimensions / KPI’s Safety: Drive a world class safety culture within the Lagos Facility by encompassing Lean principles and Continuous improvement programs, which will achieve in driving a ZERO reportable injury frequency rate within the facility. Drive compliance to OSHAC and KC safety standards. Quality: Drive Continuous Improvement programs in Quality to improve Quality targets as per objectives set, by implementing lean processes. Cost: Drive cost transformation programs within the Operations, and support disciplines by providing lean process frame work, while at all times driving teams to achieve facility objective of Total cost of manufacturing and conversion cost. Projects: drive Lean improvement projects across the facility in order to drive down Cost to BIC in terms of Component and conversion cost of manufacture. Provide guidance, and leadership to managers and teams , in terms of lean principles and practices. Functional Standards Bachelor’s Degree with relevant 5 years Lean experience. OR 10 years in a leadership position in leading an Operations or a Technical team with excellent experience in leading continuous improvement programs. Good track record of Lean Processes, min 5 years, advanced level Excellent business acumen, Change management skills, and Excellent Leadership skills Project Management Skills Ability to influence at all levels to drive continuous improvement across the facility.
