Job Title: Tech Analyst

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Description

• This role requires a full coverage of all that is happening in the Technology space. Covering Innovations, fund raising, Teach start up and all other complementary functions.

Responsibilities

• Covering daily news stories in the tech space
• Build key relationships with Individuals, Founders, Organizations and Stakeholders around your beat.
• Conduct Interviews with Founders and Owners of Tech startups or Tech giants
• Write daily articles according stated deliverables
• Prompt coverage of breaking news
• Attend Tech conference, seminars and events of interest to Nairametrics
• Develop a rich source of information to place Nairametrics as a go to source for Tech news ahead of other platforms.
• Develop, review and maintain media related policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for conducting regular research and liaising with professionals, internal and external stakeholders across various industries to ensure best practices in the organisation
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time

Desired Skills and Experience

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 3-5 years work experience
• A keen eye and interest in Tech companies
• Excellent communication skills
• Fine understanding of Startups, Fund raising cycle and following Tech journeys and Innovation
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of project delivery methodology
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Possesses written and oral communication skills to support decisions and recommendations
• Conducts meetings and provides effective team-player-spirit to team members
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Strong team-player skills

Essential Skills:

• Experience working in a fast-paced media firm or related services firm is highly desirable.
• Ideal candidate should have proven experience in Financial markets, Tech Industry knowledge
• Good use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior high-quality experience in similar roles with top notch firms in the Tech, Investment capital/Financial space will be a major advantage.
• Experience in interacting with people (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

Salary
N150,000 – N180,000 / month.
